Common renovation debris problems

The problem.
How we solve it.

What renovators and homeowners call us about most, and how we handle each one.

01

More waste than you planned

The problem

Old cabinets, flooring, drywall and fixtures can quickly overwhelm a driveway or garage.

How we solve it

We load it straight into our truck, so you don’t need to rent a bin or load everything yourself.

02

No truck for a DIY renovation

The problem

Homeowners doing their own work often don’t have a suitable truck, trailer or disposal account.

How we solve it

We handle the heavy lifting and loading, saving you a rental vehicle and repeated trips to the disposal facility.

03

Debris building up between phases

The problem

Waste piles up again every time the project moves on to the next room.

How we solve it

We can make multiple pickups as the project progresses. Tell us early if you expect several.

04

Heavy tile and stone

The problem

Tile, mortar beds and stone countertops add a lot of weight to a load.

How we solve it

Tell us about heavy material up front so we can price it properly and plan the right loads.

05

Drywall mixed into the pile

The problem

Drywall may require separation, and disposal facilities can have specific requirements based on its age and condition.

How we solve it

Keep drywall separate where you can, and tell us the building’s approximate age and whether testing has been done.

06

The old room is still standing

The problem

The kitchen or bathroom hasn’t been torn out yet, and your contractor needs a clear start.

How we solve it

Ask about our light demolition for cabinets, flooring and other qualifying non-structural features.

FAQ

Good questions

Still unsure? Call or text 604-725-1092.

How much does renovation junk removal cost?

Pricing depends on the type, volume and weight of the material, labour, disposal fees and access. Text us photos for a price range.

Do I need to pile the debris outside?

No. We remove approved debris from accessible interior or exterior areas. Additional labour may apply for stairs, long carrying distances or difficult access.

Can you pick up as the renovation goes?

Yes. We can remove debris after demolition is complete or make multiple pickups as the project progresses.

Do you remove drywall?

We can remove qualifying drywall, but disposal requirements vary. Tell us the building’s approximate age and whether the drywall has been tested if asbestos may be present.

Can you take the old appliances too?

Yes, once they’re disconnected. Gas, plumbing and hardwired electrical connections must be disconnected by a qualified professional.

Can you do the demolition as well?

Yes, we offer selected light demolition services. Send photographs and measurements so we can determine whether the demolition falls within our scope.

Is asbestos testing required?

Testing may be required when suspect materials such as older drywall compound, flooring, adhesives or textured finishes will be disturbed.
